In 2018, the Olympic Games will return to South Korea, almost 30 years after the 1988 Seoul Summer Games. Following Vancouver and Sochi, Pyeongchang will host world top athletes competing in 15 different disciplines. When booking your trip, please make sure you don’t book an inclusive trip to Pyongyang This city is the capital of North Korea and you will end up with a slightly different experience in February 2018.
In PyeongChang, there are two main clusters and two stand alone venues:
  • The Coastal Gangneung, is set to host ice hockey for women & men, curling, speed skating, short track and figure skating
  • Alpensia Resort, the mountain cluster, will broadcast the Opening and Closing Ceremonies, ski jumping, nordic combined, biathlon, cross-country skiing, luge, bobsleigh, skeleton and alpine skiing (Slalom and Giant Slalom)
  • Bokwang Snow Park, a stand alone venue, will host Freestyle Skiing and Snowboard
  • Jeongseong Alpine Center, the second stand alone venue, will be dedicated to downhill, Super-G and combined

Closest International Airports: Incheon (Seoul) and YangYang (Sokcho).
